Well...I know that everyone in the world does not view football as a 24/7/365 mania...but we do. I keep telling my kids that one of the worst things that can ever happen to them is to have to look in the mirror when nobody is around and admit that they did not do all they could to realize their potential. Time is something that is simply to valuable to waste.

Looking over this site, I am reminded that there ARE those brave souls who take this seriously. There are kids who do everything they can to get better...and they are the kids who demand respect from other kids. I remember how bad I felt when I thought that I let my team down; that is something that I hope my kids never have to feel.

So... I am packing up the kids and heading to Long Beach for Linemen Inc Camp. The kids are also going to attend a couple of university camps (more to be seen than anything else)before they take the final "gut-check exams" in Long Beach.

I was hoping to see others leave some thoughts and opinions on this blog--even it they are brief. I aware that time is precious and sometimes we are unsure of the utility of our opinions... That is too bad because knowledge is power and shared knowledge is always good. Also, I have found that personal and business relationships can be built on these sort of blogs.

I hope to meet as many of those who attend camp in Long Beach. Look for me I am a big guy...ancient looking...with a grey goatee. I answer to "Wes". PS feel free to look at my family football site (d1kids.com)and add your kids profiles, etc. It is all free.
